The Crisis Knowledge Management (CKM) Certification Program consists of four, online courses that can be taken at your own pace. As part of each course, you will be provided with a manual with additional insights and resources that are essential when preparing for and recovering from a disaster.

We highly recommend completing the courses in sequential order to fully comprehend the topics that will be covered.

This course will give guidance to anyone on how to prepare and manage most major disaster scenarios and how to aid themselves, their families, clients, staff and any others connected to their community.

In addition to having a disaster preparedness plan, learn what you need to do to prepare your emergency kits and communication plans for both your family and your business. Survival Mindset, Leadership and Communication in Disasters

As our world continues to change, it is vitally important to understand how the right mindset, strong leadership skills, and an effective communication plan fosters resiliency and positive action when any disaster strikes.

This course provides an in-depth look into the importance of developing a resilient mindset to mentally prepare and remain calm when a disaster strikes. Discover how you can be a leader of a disaster team in your community and to turn this leadership into new lead opportunities.

Surviving Disasters of Our Own Making

Learn about the various man-made disasters and the actions you can take to prepare for, survive, and recover from these disasters.

This course is designed to help you prepare for most man-made disasters, from pandemics and active shooters to cyberattacks and power outages. The secret to surviving man-made disasters is taking the necessary steps now to prepare. The course examines eight man-made disasters in detail and goes over strategies for preparing, surviving, and recovering.

Course 4

Road to Recovery

Learn how to successfully navigate post-disaster recovery services including how to best manage insurance policies and mortgage plans.

This course is designed to help you understand and navigate insurance policies and mortgage plans following a disaster, as well as how best to assist others with their recovery. The path forward can present many challenges and opportunities. Therefore, it is important to have a full understanding of what is covered by insurance, the various options available, and ways to help prepare your community.
